How to play MusicGuessr
Guess the song, identify the artist, and find the country. You have up to three written clues per question. The sooner you solve it, the more points you earn.
Start with one clue
Select “Play today” on the homepage to begin. The five questions follow this order: song, artist, song, artist, country. For each song or artist, type a name, select a suggestion, and submit your guess. For the country, choose your answer on the map and submit it.
Stuck? Select “Reveal next clue” for another hint. An incorrect guess also opens the next clue. You can give up to see the answer and move on.
Score up to 15 points
A correct answer earns 3 points with one clue, 2 with two, or 1 with all three. If your final guess is incorrect or you give up, you earn 0 for that question. Solve all five on the first clue for a perfect score.
Keep your daily streak going
A new puzzle arrives at midnight in your device’s timezone. Finish all five questions to count the day toward your streak, regardless of your score. Come back and complete the next set before the following day ends to keep it going.
Learn the answers and share your score
Each answer includes a short explanation and a source if you want to explore further. After the final question, share your result or download a scorecard image. Both keep the answers hidden so friends can take the challenge themselves.
Visit your score history to review past results and check your current and best streaks.

Open MusicGuessr in your browser and start playing. Your progress is linked to a cookie in that browser, so return using the same browser and device to keep your history. Clearing the cookie or switching browsers starts a separate history.
